About the Egerton Chemistry Society
Learn about our journey, our mission, and the people driving our passion for chemistry.
Our History
The Chemistry Club at Egerton University, originally formed as a small discussion group, began with the initiative of five dedicated members. Their vision was to create a space where they could engage in in-depth discussions and explore their shared passion for chemistry.
What started as an intimate gathering quickly gained traction, capturing the interest of scholars from various fields. As more students recognized the value of these discussions, the group expanded, evolving into what is now known as the Egerton University Chemistry Club Association (EUCCA).
As EUCCA grew, it began to expand its activities beyond simple discussions, organizing workshops, seminars, and industrial visits. The association also started hosting guest lectures and industrial talks, inviting professors, doctors, and industry experts to share their knowledge and insights with the members.
Today, EUCCA's influence has continued to grow, attracting an interdisciplinary network of scholars. The association has become a hub for innovation and collaboration, fostering research projects, national competitions, and community outreach, shaping the next generation of leaders in the chemical sciences.
